Of course, folks don't like their game being interrupted, but such is reality. I do agree with those who are saying such things as "being in the midst of a mission, can I have my timer started at the point of the DT." and with the statement about having done hours for PLEX for subbing the account - and probably not the only player so impacted.

For the non-techies -- there is so much behind the scenes that has to go on - and it's not always smooth sailing - and it never will be.

I initially posted this with a facetious sneer under my neckbeard. A company so lauded allows a "database" error to shut them down during prime time? I am guessing it is (as these things usually are) somewhat more complicated than a typing error in a line of code. Force me to guess and I would say it is along the lines of an exploit that has resulted in shifts of tens of trillions of isk. They noticed when it started to be hundreds of trillions. They can't just move it back, because it will destabilize the PLEX and extractor/injector markets, so the fix needs to be coordinated with post online market intervention on a massive scale (without seeming too obvious).
